FAQs

  • Is the course price really fully inclusive?
Apart from air fares, yes. Leave your wallet at home.
  • Do I need to bring my own equipment?
All materials you will require are provided from the studio, but some people prefer to use their own personal items.
  • How many students are usually on each course?
We never have more than eight people staying with us at any one time. Some of these are non-painters, so we usually expect to have between three and six art students.
  • Although I am quite fit, I have difficulty in walking very far, will this be a problem?
No, although the locations are generally within walking distance we provide transport to and from if required. We should be notified of any such medical conditions at the time of booking.

Not every day, but most days we go sketching in the chosen locations

Yes, Loli is very good at encouraging total beginners and at finding students hidden talents. In one week you will not become an expert but you will enjoy learning something.
  • Would I have to start very early every morning?
No, this is Spain. We like to start at about 10.00 am but it is up to you, it´s your holiday. If one day, you do not feel like painting, then just relax by the pool.
  • Although I have painted for many years in watercolours, I would like to try oils.
No problem, part of my teaching format is to encourage students to try new mediums and techniques.
  • Can I use the studio in the evenings?
The studio is there for you to use at any time that suits you.
  • Some of the courses I have been on I only saw the tutor for a few minutes a day. Are your courses the same?
Loli is solely committed to each group of students and does not do any other work during the week and as she only has a few students at a time she is able to give personal, individual attention to each student. Sometimes this may includeextra one to one sessions.
  • I do not want to be tied to a course structure, can I come with my friends and just paint?
We do offer non-tuition painting weeks, where groups of friends, art club groups or individuals can come and paint, draw or just talk art at their leisure.
